Any common phrases that are used often in the series should be put here, so we have a common place to look to make sure we're using the same thing every time.

Labyrinth

  • Nakewameke summoning: Nakewameke, do my bidding!
  • Sorewatase summoning: ソレワタセ、すがたをあらわせ! Sorewatase, show yourself!
    • This is sometimes switched up a bit by reordering the phrase slightly, such as in ep 40, where Northa says 「さぁ、すがたをあらわせ…それわたせ」, but typically the original order is maintained.
  • すべてはメビウスさまのために "Subete wa Mebius-sama no tameni!": Everything for Lord Moebius!
  • ラビリンス総統・メビウスさまがしもべ is not: "A denizen of Labryinth and servant of Lord Moebius!"
    • 総統 is "supreme ruler", not "denizen" or anything of that sort.
    • Instead it should be: "A servant of the supreme ruler of Labyrinth, Lord Moebius!"

Northa's speech when she's watering the Sorewatase plant with 不幸

(Copied from Episode 40)
The misfortune of others is such a sweet thing. {lit: like honey}
Grow strong with despair...
Grow strong with sorrow...

Types of MoTWs

  • Nakewameke -- Standard MoTW
  • Nakesakebe (ナキサケーベ) -- Nakewameke powered up with the special card Eas was given by Moebius
  • Sorewatase -- Northa's MoTWs
  • Hohoemina -- Special from the final eps

Fuko (不幸 【ふこう】)

  • Fuko gauge: Sorrow gauge
  • Fuko (energy): Sorrowful energy

Character Names

  • Moebius (Moebius-sama should be rendered as "Lord Moebius")
  • Klein
  • Westar
  • Soular
  • Eas
  • Northa

Pretty Cure

Pretty Cure instead of Precure, as "Fresh Pretty Cure" is in the series logo in English.

I've been using "Pretty Cure" as both singular and plural. (Same with many other terms like pickrun, linkrun, nakewameke, etc.) -- Kanmuri

Pretty Cure is typically used to refer to them collectively, even if just one of them is there.
Like the commonly uttered phrase, "So you've appeared, Pretty Cure."
If a plural for "Pretty Cure" is absolutely needed, the term Cures can be used.
For instance, "おろかなプリキュア!" could be rendered as "Foolish Cures!" when referring to the group.

Character Names

  • Love Momozono
  • Miki Aono
  • Inori Yamabuki (Buki)
  • Setsuna Higashi
  • Tarte
  • Chiffon (note: female)
  • Azukina (Tarte's fiance)

NOTE: Tarte speaks in Kansai-ben. The -han suffix is not meant to be cute. ;) It's a polite suffix that is functionally equivalent to -san. Thus it should be just dropped and not translated.
