Prologue

Chiba + Manza: Please! {Chiba is the captain with the arm in the sling, captions say the other girl is 万座, dictionary says Manza, so I'm going with that for now. --K}

Rikka: Wai-
Wait just a minute here!

No! Definitely no!

Mana: But you haven't even heard what they're asking yet.

Rikka: You're asking Mana to sub for you in your next game, am I right?

Chiba: How'd you know?

Rikka: It's obvious when you look at that arm of yours.
Softball team captain, Chiba-senpai.
You're busy with both Precure and Student Council work, you can't just thoughtlessly accept.

Mana: But they look like they're in real trouble.

Manza: That's right!
Our next game is a qualifier, so it's a very important game.

Chiba + Manza: Please!

Mana: Okay, you can count on me.

Chiba: Thank you!

Manza: We'd better hurry up and make arrangements.

Rikka: Wait a second, Mana!

Chiba: Do you remember how to sign the paperwork? {I'm guessing that's what they're talking about for サイン here. --K}

Other girl: Oh, that's easy.

Rikka: Oh, come on!

{OP}

Part 1

Manza: Sh-She's fast!

Chiba: She's not just fast.
She can handle multiple ball weights too.

Manza: Why hasn't she been recruited?

Chiba: I've invited her to join! But, well...

Mana: What's wrong?

Batter: The shoelaces broke on my cleats.

Mana: I've got some spare ones. I'll lend them to you.

Batter: Thanks, Prez!

Chiba: She much prefers helping out others to joining clubs.

Manza: I see.

Pigtailed player: Kyouda!
Stop staring off into space and practice with us.

Kyouda: Sure!

High twintails: I wonder if the Prez is gonna join our team.
She's kind and cool.

Kyouda: Yeah, pitching is easy for her.

High twintails: You're going to be an ace pitcher here soon.
Are you getting your arm ready?

Kyouda: No, I'm not quite- ack!
Sorry, but could you please throw that over here?
Thank you very much!

Mana: I'm home!

Rikka + Alice: Welcome home.

Mana: Huh? Why'd I get left out? {Alternatively: "Huh? Why'd you ditch me?", but I'm not quite sure that fits. --K}

Rikka: You were busy with the softball team, right?

Mana: Oh, right.

Alice: I heard you were scouted by the softball team, Mana-chan, is that right?

Mana: Yeah.
They were very insistent.

Rikka: The Happy Prince is weak to pleading, isn't she? {Using "she" because "Happy Prince" is referring to Mana here, not an actual prince or the prince in the story --K}

Alice: When's the game?

Mana: This Sunday, at our school's field.

Alice: I'll be sure to come cheer you on.

Rikka: They must be a novice team if they're putting in an outside substitute as a starter, though.

Mana: Are you mad?{U MAD BRO?}

Rikka: No, not really...
I just had to do Mana's share too of cleaning up litter on the school grounds.
As well as hold a meeting about the wind ensemble's upcoming lecture.
Not to mention doing a check on the latest PR copy.
So no, I'm not mad at alllll.

Mana: That's why I can count on you, Rika-sama! Love ya! {Yes, I picked the "Love ya!" wording on purpose, feeling that it fits the "I'm trying to suck up to the friend I annoyed and who covered for me," vibe better than just "I love you!" --K}

Rikka: Makopi's angry too, you know.
As we haven't made any progress on finding the Princess.

Makoto: I'm not really angry, but...

Mana: But?

Makoto: It's kind of odd to me.
They just asked for a helping hand.
Why do you throw yourself so seriously into it?

Mana: I always run on the full power principle!
Doesn't it make you happy when everyone can rely on you to help them out?

Makoto: Is being someone everyone can rely on really that fun?

DB: You're talking about Cure Heart?

Makoto: Yeah.

DB: Well, in the Trump Kingdom, didn't you sing for everyone else?
Didn't that bring you joy?

Makoto: I really don't know.

DB: How about we go cheer her on then?
It might give you just the push you need.

Makoto: You're right.

{And now it's time once again, for "Angry Bowling", with special guest, Bel!}

Bel: {\i1}Cure Heart!
{\i1}I will repay you for every ounce of my suffering.

Ira: What's the deal, old man?
You're not usually this angry. {More literally: "You're way too angry." The connotation though is that he's uncharacteristically angry. --K}

Mammo: "Don't bother a god, and he won't curse you," as they say.
Just let him be.

Mana: Okay, that's done.

Kyouda: What are you doing, Senpai?

Mana: Everyone's uniforms were dirty, so I washed them.

Kyouda: The first years take care of odd jobs like that, though.

Low twintails: You're a substitute, though.

Ponytail: Please give practice your full attention instead.

Mana: If I'm the only one pushing myself, the team as a whole won't get any stronger.
So the regulars can lead us to victory, we each need to work together on our team-building skills.
That kind of passion is sure to make the whole team stronger.
You can't hold back just because you're first years.

First years: Yes, ma'am! {Sorry, the way they responded just made this seem the best TL --K}

Mana: If you're following what I'm saying, go get changed now.
We're going to go running.

First years: Yes, ma'am!

Manza: They're all fired up, I see.

Chiba: Yeah, the substitute's to thank for that.
Tomorrow's match looks to be tons of fun.

Manza: Yeah.

Kyouda: Prez!
Thanks for your hard work today!

Mana: You too!
Let's kick butt at the game tomorrow!

First years: Yes, ma'am!

Joe: As popular as always, I see.

Ai-chan: Ai!

Mana: Oh hey, mister. And Ai-chan, too!
It's a rare sight to see you around here. {Originally went with "pleasant surprise" instead of "rare sight", but it didn't quite fit as well with Joe's line below. --K}

Ai-chan: Ai!

Joe: I ran out of powdered milk, so we're out doing a little shopping.
Also, aren't you a rare sight as well? Returning home from school in your sweats like that?

Mana: Ah well, about that...

Joe: You're going to be playing in a softball game?

Mana: Yeah, I'm going to be the pitcher.

Joe: I see.
Well then, I guess Ai-chan and I should probably come to cheer you on.

Mana: Please do!

Joe: Oh, yeah!
I'll give you a good luck charm to ensure the Goddess of Victory smiles upon you.

Mana: No, that's fine.

Joe: I won't take no for an answer.
Ah, hang on a sec-

Ai-chan: Ai!

Joe: Oh brother.
Well, since you like it so much, I'll give it to you.

Ai-chan: Kewpie!

Mana: Isn't that awesome, Ai-chan?

Ai-chan: Ai! Ai!

Bel: Sorry to butt in like this.
Aida Mana-san...
Or rather, Cure Heart!

Mana: You!

Cheryl: Be careful, Mana!

Mana: {\i1}I know, but I can't transform like this.

Bel: I want to face off with you.

Mana: No thanks, I don't have any reason to fight with you.

Bel: You saw what happened in the Trump Kingdom with your own eyes, and yet you're spouting off such nonsense now?

Mana: I saw it, yes.
But we beat you and returned from there, didn't we?

Bel: I have no interest in arguing about my so-called "defeat".
What's wrong? Hurry up and transform into a Precure already.
Defeating you before you've transformed won't bring me closure!

Joe: Look out!

Mana: Mister!
Mister!

Ai-chan: Kewpie!

Bel: Hmmph, needless heroism. {Wanted to do "Boy Scout!" here, but Mana just had to go ruin it with her next line, w --K}

Mana: It wasn't needless!
Wanting to protect someone...
Wanting to exhaust yourself someone else's sake...
Don't you understand those feelings?

Bel: Shaddup!

Mana: Ai-chan!

Ai-chan: Kewpie!

Mana: Ai-chan!

Bel: If you want her back, come to the Yotsuba Terminal at 8 AM tomorrow morning.
But come alone.
If you bring your comrades...

Mana: No!
Ai-chan... Ai-chan!
