    It’s still Curecom, just different people within Curecom than who’s doing Fresh (other than the encoder).

    Not sure what it has to do with Suite. 🙂 Suite’s mostly been waiting on raws the last few weeks. The raws have been coming out later than they used to.

    Can anyone tell me if CureCom got better at subbing, to the point where watching the show won’t make me shit blood in anger?

    First off, the subs of Fresh are localized for an English-speaking audience. Some expressions have been changed to make better sense in English, while attempting to not dilute the intended overall meaning. If you don’t want that in your subs, then these aren’t for you.

    Second, most of us working on the subs for Fresh hadn’t done any subbing prior to working on Fresh. And we did learn as we went. There are gaffs in some of the earlier subs where it’s inappropriate even for a localization, and it did get a lot better as we went along, especially as we eventually got better translators. Some of the earlier episodes probably will be getting redone after we finish the series. We have a list of corrections that need to be made.

    Lastly, yeah, the screenshots on the release announcements are usually jokes, and not actually what’s in the episode.

    Well, I’m not sure how translating “hey, this girl is the same age as me!” to “she’s putting words in my mouth” counts as localization by ANY possible definition of the term, but I’m glad that someone responded with good news, even if I can’t really trust you due to bias.

    My analness aside, thanks for working on all this precure. Heavily gaffed subs are still better than no subs, and PreCure is my favorite absurdly long running toy commercial anime.
